#TIA – This anti-gun activist will take office in Georgia’s House delegation bearing the memory of losing her own son to that violence.

Lucy McBath, a Democratic anti-gun-violence activist who this week ousted a Republican congresswoman in Georgia, responded Thursday to the mass shooting in California by vowing to use her new position to “prevent these tragedies.”

I grieve with the families affected and for every life lost. I pray that Congress will support me in taking action to prevent these tragedies from affecting the lives of so many.”
